Love On The Lake

As we approach final Few days of summer,  there was no way I could let these last few days slip away without a getaway. The  honey requested the perfect view to have coffee and relax and that meant it was time for a "baecation". The hunt began for the perfect setting, the setting of love and relaxation. Per usual I hit the internet. Remembering my dad owned a place upstate New York before he retired;  I instantly knew exactly where to look . Browsing through a few places upstate I ran across Lake Placid. I wanted something that would leave a lasting impression and make anyone feel like their were in a little piece of heaven.  After scoping out a few hotels;  Mirror Lake Inn was without a doubt the heavenly spot i was searching for. Upon arrival I was taken away by the aesthetic of Mirror Lake Inn, that sits right on top of its own little hill overlooking Lake Placid. The property and warm welcoming spoke for itself and explained why they were most recently featured in USA Today's Top Ten best waterfront hotels. After a long drive I dropped my bags off in the room and was ready for a glass of wine and to just enjoy my partner's company. We enjoyed our view a little and then hit their private beach for a little wine and sunset. (click on images)

Day 2.

The early bird catches the worm. We got an early start to our Saturday morning trying to catch the sunrise with her and as much beauty of our surroundings. It was the perfect start to my day. Taking in my blessings and taking a moment to appreciate the beautiful moments and amazing scenery. After a little exploring it was time to refuel. We grabbed a bite at one of the many restaurants that  Mirror Lake's Inns property has to offer.  Not having to go too far, we opted on the buffet breakfast menu. There were a variety of delicious breakfast options for anyone to enjoy whether you are a vegan or a meat lover like myself. After our beautiful walk and oh so amazing breakfast It was time for me to get a little work out in and release some stress. We headed to the spa and pool right after breakfast which in turn of course worked up an appetite for lunch.  Having so many amazing options to choose from we decided on the lake at The Cottage. (click on images)

Smores & Dinner

Back at the room a bottle of wine was sent to prepare us for dinner, we enjoyed a glass and headed to grab some smores. Yes! we had dessert before dinner, the joy of being an adult. One of the most amazing parts of the trip was roasting marshmellows by the lake. Our dinner was at The View which requires reservations, our reservation was at 8 so we headed on over right after catching the sunset and a few great captured moments. Dinner was not a disappointment and our server had a few surprises for us that simply made the night unforgettable. The end to a wonderful weekend was near and every moment felt as though we were the only people there.(click on images)
